Individual Therapy
Working one on one with the therapist, an individual works on personal issues that prevent him or her from overcoming emotional or personal problems and reaching their goals. This is collaborative process, where the therapist helps the individual overcome self-limiting thoughts and beliefs, obtain skills to combat depression, anxiety, or other negative feelings, or simply provide a different perspective on challenges a person faces.
Couples Therapy
Couples work with a therapist together on issues negatively affecting their relationship, such as conflicts, misunderstandings, and not feeling loved and supported. A couples therapist does not take sides, but treats couples as a team where each person has a role to play and each contributes to problems, as well as effective solutions.
Family Therapy
The therapist meets with children and parents both individually and as a group to uncover problems in the family system that lead to conflicts, anger, and hurt feelings. Like couples, family members are treated as a unit where each member works on personal issues that helps the family function better as a whole.
